My name is Brad Simonsen, and I am the proud founder of ArchiPixure. My journey through drafting, modeling, and visualizing began in 1996, taking me down many fascinating and enriching paths. This diverse experience has given me a well-rounded outlook, enabling a holistic understanding of the intricate details of entire projects while working closely with many talented architects, engineers, and designers.
I embarked on my career as a drafter during the DOS computing era, a time when 3D modeling in AutoCAD was just emerging. The moment I created my first basic shape in 3D something clicked in me and I knew this was my calling. My career path led me from drafting ATM machines and grain elevators to designing pump systems for animal processing plants—a daunting experience. I then progressed to modeling and designing mechanical systems for agri-processing plants and chemical facilities. By 1998, I began creating renderings and animations to depict how these facilities would appear to the casual observer and to illustrate complex plumbing systems’ construction for contractors.
My venture into architectural design and visualization began in 2004, when I joined an architectural firm. There, I introduced 3D modeling into their design process, showcasing the intuitive clarity that comes with 3D visualization, as opposed to 2D drawings which can be difficult to interpret and even deceptive if you aren’t trained in reading them. Since then, I have focused my career path towards being a professional Architectural Visual and Interactive Design Specialist.
ArchiPixure was born in 2009, during the great recession, serving as a stable foundation while I continued my full-time work at an architectural firm. It wasn't until the end of 2023 that I decided to dedicate myself entirely to this venture.
